Taking a few minutes to check your space before your delivery date will make the whole process smooth and stress-free. Here's everything you need to know.
How Much Floor Space Do You Need?
Our wardrobes are freestanding — not fitted — and most need to be assembled flat on the floor before being lifted upright into position. This means you need more floor space than just the wardrobe's final footprint.
The rule is simple: add 20–30cm to both the width and height of your wardrobe to give the assembly team enough room to work around it.
Example: A wardrobe that is 250cm wide and 215cm high needs approximately 270–280cm of floor width and 235–245cm of floor depth to be assembled safely before standing upright.
Once assembled on the floor it will be lifted into its final position against the wall.
Ceiling Height
Most wardrobes need to be assembled flat on the floor first, so you will need 10–20cm of clearance between the top of the wardrobe and your ceiling to allow it to be tilted upright.
Some ranges can be built upright from the base without needing this clearance — including the Modern Sliding 2 door and 3 door as well as some hinged door ranges. If ceiling height is tight please contact us before ordering and we will confirm whether your chosen wardrobe can be built upright.
Side Clearance
Allow at least 2cm of extra space on each side of where the wardrobe will sit. For example if your wardrobe is 200cm wide you need at least 204cm of clear wall space to manoeuvre it safely into position.
Other Things To Check Before Assembly Day
- Clear the room of any furniture or items that could obstruct the assembly area
- Check for radiators, shelves, door handles, wall fixtures, light fittings and window sills near the assembly area
- Ensure the floor is level — uneven floors can affect how doors open and close, particularly on sliding door wardrobes
- Make sure there is accessible free parking near your property on the day
- Ensure corridors, doorways and staircases are clear and wide enough for the wardrobe panels to pass through
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the technician remove the packaging? The assembly team will bundle all packaging neatly and leave it ready for you to move to your disposal point. We do not take packaging away.
Will you remove old furniture? We do not offer a furniture removal service. Please clear the room and assembly area before the team arrives.
Can you fix the wardrobe to the wall? Our assembly team is not insured to carry out any drilling or fixings into walls or other structural elements of your property.
What if my floor is not level? Our service covers assembly of the furniture only — not floor preparation or bespoke fitting. An uneven floor can cause sliding doors to drift open or closed on their own. We recommend ensuring your floor is level before the assembly team arrives. Our fitters may attempt to pack materials under the base of the wardrobe to help it sit level, but this is done at their discretion and cannot be guaranteed.
What if the wardrobe cannot fit in the room? Our fitters will measure your space on arrival. If the wardrobe cannot be assembled or positioned due to insufficient space, a re-visit fee will apply. Please use the measurements in this guide to check your space carefully before booking.
What if some parts are missing or damaged on delivery? We will send replacement parts free of charge and our team will return to complete the assembly at no extra cost. Please note replacement parts can take 1–4 weeks depending on availability.
Can assembly be refused on the day? For safety reasons our team may be unable to proceed if access is unsafe, parking is unavailable, the space is insufficiently prepared, or the environment is unsuitable. If installation is above the first floor a suitable lift must be available. If assembly cannot proceed due to circumstances within the customer's control, the full assembly fee will apply.
Cancellations and Changes
If you need to cancel or rearrange your assembly booking please give us at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the agreed time slot will be charged at the full assembly rate as the fitters are booked and paid in advance. A new booking fee will apply for a return visit.
After Assembly — Checking Your Furniture
Please check your wardrobe thoroughly while the assembly team are still present — open and close all doors and drawers, check alignments and inspect for any marks or damage. Any issues raised while the team is on site will be dealt with immediately or scheduled for a prompt return visit.
Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of the assembly date by replying to your order confirmation email. Issues reported after 48 hours or following any customer modifications to the furniture may not be covered under the assembly service warranty.
Please note that if furniture has been moved or partially reconstructed by the customer after assembly, any warranty claims relating to that furniture will be void.

How Long Will My Order Take?
Delivery times shown on each product page are estimates based on working days Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays. All orders are processed within 1–3 working days and your estimated delivery window begins once processing is complete.
Most orders are delivered within 7–14 working days. However some wardrobes — particularly larger ranges, bespoke configurations or items coming from specialist manufacturers — can take 4–6 weeks or longer. Where this applies the extended delivery timeframe will be clearly displayed on the individual product page before you add to your basket, so there are no surprises after ordering.
Our logistics team will contact you by phone or SMS with your confirmed delivery date and time slot at least 24–48 hours in advance so you can plan around it.
How Is My Order Delivered?
All orders are delivered to your front door on the ground floor. We use specialist furniture logistics handlers who are experienced in transporting large and delicate items — including wardrobes with mirrored and sliding doors — to ensure your furniture arrives safely and in perfect condition.
Living in a flat or apartment above the ground floor? Please include your floor number and lift details in the Order Notes section at checkout. If a working lift is available our drivers will do their best to bring your order up to your floor. Where no suitable lift is available our drivers may need to leave your order on the ground floor for safety and insurance reasons.
Why Is There a Delivery Charge?
We believe your furniture deserves to be handled properly from warehouse to your home. Rather than using standard couriers we work exclusively with specialist furniture logistics partners who understand how to transport large, fragile items without damage.
Every delivery includes full transit insurance, so if any damage does occur during transport we will send replacement parts free of charge — as long as any issues are reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Delivery Zones
Delivery costs and timeframes vary depending on your location across the UK. Please refer to the delivery zones map and the guide below to find your area.
🟢 Green Zone — Standard Delivery Most of England. Delivery within the standard timeframe quoted on your product page.
🔵 Blue Zone — Allow an Extra 1–2 Weeks Wales, Scotland and some areas of Northern England. Please add 1–2 weeks on top of the timeframe shown on your product page. Additional delivery charges apply.
🔴 Red Zone — Allow an Extra 1–3 Weeks Remote areas including the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Cornwall, Devon and the Northern Scottish borders. Please add 1–3 weeks on top of the timeframe shown on your product page. Delivery to Red Zone postcodes may be made by pallet to kerbside rather than door. Additional delivery charges apply.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I choose my delivery date? Our logistics team will contact you 24–48 hours before your delivery with a confirmed date and time slot. We will always do our best to accommodate your preferred timing where possible.
What if my wardrobe shows a 4–6 week or longer delivery time? Some wardrobes take longer due to the manufacturer, size or configuration involved. The extended timeframe will always be clearly shown on the product page before you place your order. If you have a specific date you need your furniture by please contact us before ordering and we will confirm whether it is achievable.
What if I am not home for delivery? Please contact us as soon as possible to rearrange. Failed deliveries where reasonable notice has not been given may incur a re-delivery charge.
What if my order arrives damaged? Please check your delivery carefully and report any damage within 48 hours by replying to your order confirmation email. Damage reported within this window is covered under our transit insurance and we will arrange replacement parts at no cost to you.
Do you deliver on weekends? All deliveries are made Monday to Friday. Weekend deliveries are not currently available.

We do deliver on Saturdays although this is not always guaranteed. To request a Saturday delivery simply reply to your order confirmation email and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Our standard delivery is to the ground floor and is usually fulfilled by one person. If your building has a working lift that can accommodate boxes up to 220cm in length we can deliver above the ground floor. A carrying service to the first floor is available for an additional £20.
If you live above the first floor without a suitable lift you will need to arrange someone to help our driver carry the boxes to your floor.
For safety reasons our driver or assembly team may refuse delivery or installation if:
Access is unsafe or too difficult
The distance from parking to the room is excessive
Stairs, corridors or doorways are too narrow
The ground is uneven or unsuitable
The site has not been prepared or cleared
The product does not fit in the available lift
If delivery or installation cannot proceed due to any of the above, additional charges may apply for a return visit.

Sturdy and easy to install. Has an elegant look with its curled ends, which makes the hooks work very well for holding any type of clothing. Very happy with the design! The only problem which came with them is that they weren’t packed tightly enough, so they arrived with a number of grey-colored scratches from slipping and sliding during shipping
